Time flies...I only need to look at my children to be poignantly reminded of this. Once they were three tiny creatures; once they were so very dependent upon me...for everything. But now, ahh, now they have grown so (two tower over me). They've grown not only physically; they have also grown in independence. When the children were five, and three, and not yet a year old, I told my husband this was my favorite time with them. If it were possible, I would freeze them all at that age. It is a wonderful time...back before anyone or anything has any demands on us. He wisely told me that I wouldn't really want them not to grow older because that was not God's design for us. He was right. Although I truly loved that time of preschoolers and toddlers and infants, I would not have wanted to miss all the phases and changes we have experienced together since that time. Now, thirteen years later what a joy it is to see the wonderful young adults that they are becoming. God is truly working His beauty in them. But it seems like only yesterday, they looked like this. . .
